Mae C. Stars #9
Founding Member of DLF
Raised by revolutionary parents who supported Quebec sovereignty from the Canadian empire, Mae C. Stars was raised on hopeless idealism, unwavering tenacity & an unyielding need to fight. Unlike her parents these traits were not channeled into the political arena, primarily because any anti-Canadian feeling was subverted by her love of its national game. Hockey proved to be an ideal escape from the drudgery of school & work and became an all consuming passion - a passion which as only recently been eclipsed by the fast-paced excitement of roller derby! Same physicality, same hard hitting but with much cuter outfits. But don't be fooled by a sweet appearance, body checking is this girl's cup o' tea & brawling is her cake!
Wearing the #9 in honour of hockey's greatest, Rocket Richard, this girl is gonna make her opponents see stars as she demonstrates why she's known as The Canuckler!
Mae C. Stars retired from Derby Liberation Front in 2007 and now skates under the same name for the Cincinnatti Rollergirls!
