Cherry Jubilee's incendiary past is mostly a mystery. It is known that she fled her family home in Arkansas after being implicated in an explosion at a fireworks factory. After fleeing home Cherry worked in a silver mine in Montana where she was placed in charge of the dynamite crew. She became so adept at placing explosive charges to create surgical mayhem that she was hired by a major demolition crew. She participated in the demolition of several antiquated sports arenas where she was discovered by Pyrotechnic Sam's Traveling Circus.
While with the circus Cherry created the "Wall of Death". In this act she erected a 50' x 50' wall and laced it with explosives. She then lashed herself to the center of the wall and detonated a half ton of plastique. After performing this feat fifteen times without injury she was ready for another challenge.
Cherry Jubilee and Lorna Boom were approached by a DLF operative and joined the Derby Liberation Front. As a Rollergirl, Cherry has sworn off the smell of gunpowder and nitro for the explosive power of skating. "Just throwing a hip block in a turn gives me that old familiar feeling. There's nothing like it. Well...except..., but that's another life."
