The Rat City Rollergirls, teams, coaches and refs are having a Skate-A-Thon on Sunday, Feb. 12 at Bellevue Skate King, 2301 140th Ave NE, to raise money to send our all-star traveling team to Tucson, Ariz. for the 2006 Dust Devil National Championship Tournament.

Come early to mix, mingle and skate with rollergirls from 5-7 p.m. as they warm up to do some serious laps and stay late to watch head-to-head races, play games, buy hot RCRG merch, enter raffles, eat treats and witness marvelous displays of tough, RCRG endurance. PLUS, it's not to late to find your favorite rollergirl, coach or ref to find out if they're participating and pledge your support! If you can't catch up to a rollergirl by Sunday, you can always donate on-line.

If you skate with us from 5-7 p.m., regular Skate King public session fees apply ($4). However, if you come early you'll pay only $2 more to stay for the Skate-a-Thon! If you come at 7 p.m., Skate-a-Thon entry is $5 or FREE if you sponsored a skater.

The Rat City Rollergirls will be representing Seattle with an All-Star Traveling Team in the upcoming Dust Devil National Championship Tournament Feb. 24-26 in Tucson, Arizona. The town will be overrun by the Rat City Rollergirls and 19 other ferocious and dedicated amateur rollergirl leagues from across the nation. We're sure our fans are the best in the land, but there's just not enough room in our suitcases to pack all of you! We hope to see you there cheering for your hometown rollergirls. The Rat City Rollergirls are kicking off the month of March with an exhibition bout, The 2006 Charity Brawl, on Saturday, March 4 at the Everett Events Center, 2000 Hewitt Ave. in Everett.

The four Rat City Rollergirls teams will compete in a line-up determined by a random drawing for cash prizes to be awarded to the four non-profit organizations of their choice. Come cheer on your favorite team for a good cause!

Doors open at 5 p.m., bouting starts at 6 p.m. Tickets go on sale Wednesday, Feb. 8 and are $10, $15 and $20, and $7 for children 12 and under. Anti-Valentines Day with the Throttle Rockets

It's anti-Valentine's Day at The Funhouse with the interstellar Throttle Rockets, who are boycotting love, relationships and children. Be there to celebrate bitterness with great bands -- Dateless, The Feral Children and The Royal Pains -- as well as with a burn barrel for love's icky leftovers. There will be bloody Jell-O shots, ZOMBIEGIRL's 35th birthday madness, Betty Ford Galaxy's divorce papers and contests for the worst breakup, best revenge and more!

Tough Love with the Sockit Wenches
Saturday, Feb. 18 - 9 PM - $6
Get some tough love from the Sockit Wenches and their hard rocking friends Bloodhag, Midnight Idols and The Hatchetwounds at The Sunset Tavern in Ballard. Be there early to get shoves and hugs from the Wenches, your photo taken in the "Love Me Tender Photobooth," your tickets plopped in our "Love is a Battlefield Raffle" and for many more surprises galore.
