WHAT A DAY FOR DERBY! |
On Saturday, September 2, 2006, the door counters at the Key Arena in Seattle Center officially tallied
20,205 entries to the first ever Flat Track Derby Invitational, The Bumberbout, held at Bumbershoot, Seattle's premier Music & Arts festival! Eight of the top leagues in the United States skated their way into the hearts of new derby fans from across the Pacific Northwest, the United States, and the world. Rat City is proud and honored to have been able team up with One Reel Productions to hostess and showcase these premier athletes!

STATS & SCORES |
Eight of the nation's top derby leagues were divided into two pools for 20 minute bouts. The two single elimination
tournament pools yeilded a top team that would go on to compete in the Championship Game and a second to top team that
would continue on to compete in the Grudge Match. Both the Grudge Match and the Championship Game consisted of two action packed, nail biting, twenty minute periods of the most intense flat track roller derby action ever seen in the Pacific Northwest!

AFTER PARTY |
Rollergirls love to skate and after they're done knocking the socks off of each other, rollergirls love to party! The 2006 Bumberbout After Party was held at the Showbox Theatre, a proud sponsor of the Rat City
Rollergirls. After the games were over, the fun times continued rolling on as rollergirls, refs, fans and support staff from across the country sang Rock-A-Roke with CFO and danced to the tunes spun by DJ BOBCAT.
